The Chamber Reveals New “In the First State” Merch Designed by Artist Paul Carpenter

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 31, 2025

The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce is kicking off Delaware’s year-long celebration of its 250th anniversary with an exciting new launch of merchandise designed by Paul Carpenter! What began as a collaboration of the Chamber staff for the 2026 Fire & Ice Festival has resulted in a one-of-a-kind project now available on Comfort Color t-shirts and prints signed by the artist.

Paul Carpenter, a notable artist from Philadelphia, was able to draw on his own memories and appreciation of many years spent at the Delaware beaches for inspiration. The artwork is bursting with iconic, historic, and nostalgic images that celebrate Delaware. The first round of items will be released during the 2026 Fire & Ice “In the First State” Festival at the end of January.

“In the First State” t-shirts and signed prints are available for pre-sale at www.thequietresorts.com or www.fireandicede.com. T-shirts are available in adult sizes for $25. Signed 4×6 prints are $10 and 11×14 signed prints are $20. Selections will change throughout the seasons. A portion of proceeds will be donated to support Delaware State Parks. Order pick-ups will be available at the merchandise tent in downtown Bethany Beach on Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31 during the Fire & Ice Festival.
