INVITATION TO BIDDERS

 

Bids will be received by the Town of Selbyville, 1 West Church Street, PO Box 106, Selbyville, Delaware 19975, Attn:  Kevin Murray, Maintenance Supervisor, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, for the general construction of the Selbyville Public Works BuildingAny bids received after said time will be returned unopened. 

Work includes a 60’ Wide X 92’ Long x 18’ High Pole Building, with a 50’ Wide x 40’ Long x 8’ High Pole Building Added to Front Eave, and an 8’ Wide x 6’ Long Open Porch

The Town reserves the right, as the interest of the Town of Selbyville may appear, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in bids received, and to accept or reject any items of any bid.

BUILDING SPECIFICATIONS

C A D Drawings: (2) sets of Stamped Architectural Drawings – Structural Only

Footings: 30” x 12” on 60’ x 90’ x 18’ eave walls; 24” x 12” on all other walls

Poles: 2 x 8 4-ply glue lam, on 60’ x 92’ x 18’; 2 x 6 3-ply glue lam, on 50’ x 40’ x 8’;
6 x 6 pressure treated with vinyl sleeves, on Porch

Carriers: (2) 2 x 12 MSR YP, (1) on each side of post, on front eave wall and
on 40’ x 50’ x 8’
(2) 14” LVL’s on eave wall with overhead doors

Skirt Board: 2 x 8 pressure treated ground contact, Set from the highest grade point. Window seal is used between the rat / base guard and the 2 x 8 pressure treated skirt board to eliminate corrosion.

Roof Purlins: 2 x 4, 2’ o c

Ridge Vent: Low profile ridge vent

Roofing & Siding: 28 gauge G100 painted steel, 40 year limited manufacturer’s warranty

Overhang: 12” Overhang on eaves and gables; Enclosed with vinyl soffit and covered with fascia

Doors: (3) Steel entry doors; (1) Steel 9-lite entry door; (7) Steel interior doors
(6) 12’ wide x 16’ high Overhead insulated doors with windows, 24 gauge
(6) Side mount motors

Windows: (5) 3’ wide x 4’ high Single hung vinyl windows, double paned with screens

Insulation: Double bubble insulation on roof area only to eliminate condensation & reflect heat
R38 blown on top of ceiling; R19 in walls

Gutters: 6” Seamless rain gutters, and (10) down spouts.

Concrete: (1) 60’ x 92’ x 6” pad, (1) 50’ x 40’ x 4” pad, (1) 30’ x 92’ x 6” apron, and (1) 10’ x 7’ x 4” porch pad. All concrete floors are 3500 psi, have poly moisture barrier, and fiber mesh.

Wainscoting: To be included

Cupola: (3) 36” Cupola’s with Black Weathervanes
