This event is hosted by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Town of Selbyville and presented by the Bunting & Murray Construction Corporation. Classic car owners and festivalgoers are invited to travel back in time as vehicles from decades as far back as the 1910’s fill Church Street. Downtown Development District Community Surveys
Date Posted: Monday, May 11th, 2026Downtown Development District Community Surveys The Town is preparing an application for inclusion in the Downtown Development District program with the State of Delaware. The program is intended to help municipalities revitalize their downtown areas to become the thriving community centers seen in the past. The Town is seeking input from the community on what aspects of the downtown area are the highest priorities and how this could be best accomplished. A survey has been created to allow the community to provide feedback to the Town on these topics. The survey forms can be downloaded and filled out directly on the form or printed out and filled out. Tax Rate Adjustment Notice
Date Posted: Tuesday, March 24th, 2026Our charter requires the Town to use the Sussex County assessment list; however, the Town sets its own tax rate. Following the recent countywide reassessment, the Town has adjusted its tax rates to keep any increases for residents and businesses to a minimum. The previous tax rate was $2.15 per $100 of assessed value. The new tax rates are: Residential: $0.135 per $100 of assessed value Commercial: $0.250 per $100 of assessed value
