NOTICE: ROUTE 54/LIGHTHOUSE ROAD SPEED REDUCTION DelDOT has informed us that the approved speed reduction on Route 54/Lighthouse Road will be taking effect soon, with new signage expected to be installed in the coming weeks. The speed limit will be reduced to 40 MPH beginning at the Lighthouse Crossing clubhouse and continuing to Hudson Road. After Hudson Road, the speed limit will return to 50 MPH. We encourage all drivers to watch for the new signs, slow down, and help keep our community roads safe for all. Thank you for helping spread the word and for driving safely! Short-term rentals are defined in the Town Code as rental agreements for a duration of less than one year. These types of rentals have never been permitted within the Town of Selbyville. On Monday, July 7, 2025, following a public hearing, the Mayor and Council of the Town of Selbyville adopted an ordinance to amend the Town Code to specifically define and prohibit short-term rentals. Selbyville Town Park – Notice of Improvements

Phase 5 of improvements at Selbyville Town Park begins this afternoon. During construction, the walking path will be closed during daytime hours and is expected to reopen daily around 4:00 PM. The path will remain open on weekends. Additionally, the ball field is undergoing improvements and is currently not available for use. We will continue to provide updates as work progresses and look forward to sharing the results of these Phase 5 enhancements with the community. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve the park for everyone.

Downtown Development District Community Surveys The Town is preparing an application for inclusion in the Downtown Development District program with the State of Delaware. The program is intended to help municipalities revitalize their downtown areas to become the thriving community centers seen in the past. The Town is seeking input from the community on what aspects of the downtown area are the highest priorities and how this could be best accomplished.
