Date Posted: Friday, September 18th, 2026UPDATE: ROUTE 54/LIGHTHOUSE ROAD SPEED REDUCTION The new speed limit signs have officially been installed along Route 54/Lighthouse Road. The speed limit is now 40 MPH from the Lighthouse Crossing clubhouse to Hudson Road. Once past Hudson Road, the speed limit returns to 50 MPH. These types of rentals have never been permitted within the Town of Selbyville. On Monday, July 7, 2025, following a public hearing, the Mayor and Council of the Town of Selbyville adopted an ordinance to amend the Town Code to specifically define and prohibit short-term rentals.
