Toys for Tots – Toy Drop Site

The Town of Selbyville is an official Toy Drop Site for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.  Now through December 15, 2023, those who wish to donate to a child in need may stop by the Selbyville Town Hall during regular business hours to place a new, unwrapped toy in the drop box. Sussex County Reassessment Update

Over 131,000 parcels have been visited by Tyler’s data collectors for the countywide reassessment. This represents 71% of the overall parcel count for the county of Sussex. Data collection is on track to be completed in the spring of 2024. Data collection crews have completed all work in the west side of the county and are now concentrated in Tax Districts 235, 334 & 335 – Milton/Rehoboth/Lewes. Although our primary focus has shifted to collecting data in the east, you may still see our data collectors in areas that were previously collected. Revisits take place to add new construction from permits, confirm or correct property data during quality control checks, or to follow up on requests from property owners to revisit and update their data. Sussex County Reassessment Update

Over 128,000 parcels have been visited by Tyler’s data collectors for the countywide reassessment. This represents 70% of the overall parcel count for the county of Sussex. Data collection is on track to be completed in the spring of 2024. Crews are actively working to complete data collection in the northwestern side of the County. They will soon be moving east, to begin working in Rehoboth/Lewes – Tax Districts 334 & 335. SELBYVILLE TO FLUSH HYDRANTS The Town of Selbyville will be flushing its fire hydrants between 8 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. during the week beginning Monday, October 9, 2023. Residents and businesses are advised to check for discolored water, especially in their washing machines.  If you observe discolored water, let your faucet run for a few minutes to see if it clears up.  If it doesn’t, contact the water department at 436-8349.  We appreciate your patience and cooperation.  For more information, call Town Hall at 436-8314. Again, watch for discolored water.
